Don’t Toss Out Your Old Make Money With It
July 16, 2011 on 12:00 am | By admin | In Uncategorized | Comments OffLet’s face it, times are tough. Food and gas prices are sky rocketing, unemployment is high, and health care premiums continue to rise exponentially. Most of us will do anything we have to – that’s legal – to make ends meet. In the past, we were known as the throw away generation. Not anymore.
Becoming thriftier with each day that passes is the ultimate goal. You’ve heard the saying, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure”. It is time to cash in on our trash, and there are a number of ways to do just that.
Garage sales, yard sales, and swap meets are often the easiest way to cash in your junk. If you have the inclination, there are many auction websites available where you can also sell your stuff. There is even a site that buys old electronics, working or not. Recycling centers will often offer you money for your item, particularly if it is metal.
Be sure to fix up your item, if possible, and clean it, making it look as new as possible. If you will be selling it online, ensure you have a professional looking photo.
If your item still hasn’t sold, try bartering it!
